FAQs

General Questions

What is a First Serve Clinic?

The First Serve Clinic is a two-hour session introducing the basics of tennis. It includes guidance on holding a racquet, understanding game rules, and practicing serves and returns. The day begins with a welcome bag and concludes with refreshments, an overview of QCTC, and instructions on applying for membership.

Can I waive the First Serve Clinic? / What if I already have tennis experience?
Yes — and we make it easy. If you have prior tennis experience, simply complete a First Serve Clinic Waiver. Waivers are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and you’ll be notified of your membership eligibility. If approved, you can join the club without attending a First Serve Clinic.

When is the next First Serve Clinic?
First Serve Clinics are held regularly throughout the Season. For the most up-to-date schedule, follow us on social media, where announcements and registration details are shared.

What happens if I miss a First Serve clinic for which I registered?

While we understand conflicts may arise, we encourage you to carefully confirm your availability before registering as missed clinics cannot be rescheduled or refunded. If you are unable to attend a clinic for which you are already registered, we invite you to register for future clinics to continue your tennis journey with us.

Why do First Serve Clinics sell out quickly?
To ensure a premium experience with ample court time and personalized coaching, clinics are limited to a set number of attendees. Spots typically sell out within a few hours of registration opening. To secure your place, follow us on social media for announcements of new clinic dates and be prepared to register as soon as they are announced.

Do I need to bring my own tennis equipment?
Equipment will be provided at all clinics and events, but you’re welcome to bring your own racquet or gear if you prefer. Please note that upon membership, members are encouraged to invest in their own tennis racquet and appropriate attire to enhance their experience.
